Find My Peace
02:43
|
|||
i may not wear my heart out on my sleeve
but you’ll never question what i believe
you’d be wrong to think i dwell on the past
or give a fuck about the things that won’t last
i’m draining the waste, the sewage from my brain
improving myself, more than you can say
accepting the truth is all i can do
delusions of hate stemming from you
so fuck you too
and i’ve never seen things clearer than today
i go about my life my own way
my disregard for what you expect from me
it keeps me on my feet
i find my peace under pink skies and palmetto trees
with uncertainty and fate reminding me to breathe
the questions in life may make me weak at my knees
but i take it as it comes and i do it all for me

The Limit
01:28
|
|||
speak up, can’t hear your soft song from the back of the room
can’t make it out, whose voice is coming from you?
i have no concern for those who stake the stem of the brain in order to grow
but how far can you really go with your head in a mold?
on a social high, you wanna be the judge, when you swing your gavel with ease
but why should i have to justify what’s important to me?
living life behind the retina screen, you’re doing it all for the image
live your truth, but away from me because you’re pushing me to the limit

Smoke and Mirrors
01:49
|
|||
the decline of freely thinking
the price upon your head
the greedy man takes what he wants
but the endeavor never ends
when the smoke hits the mirror and all sights are set
temptation wakes, anxiety hides, and you just lost the bet
when your lungs collapse
and you’re chasing air
on a string attached
to the dealer’s hand
do you still pretend
it was just all means to an alternate end?
when the stakes are high and you’re put to the test
the smoke hits the mirror and you just lost the bet

Red No. 1
02:03
|
|||
in the age of information no face can be erased
not gone but forgotten at everybody else’s pace
and when the wheels in motion are stopped by your hands of time
for the red number 1, i ask you why you take away your right
if you want to swim, you gotta jump in
if you want to see the light, you gotta hit the switch
what’s there to do with an empty mind
overexposed to bullshit by design
soaking in their sentiment, savoring just the taste
an out of body experience and then you press replay
kinetic energy chained to the finger
potential wasted every day and it’s never getting better
so don’t slip away
